What made you want to become an assistant?
I always enjoyed going to the dentist growing up. My oldest sister talked with me about dentistry, and I looked into it and what it entailed. I shadowed my family dental office and thought it would be an exciting atmosphere to work in.

When did you start working at Periodontal Associates? What’s your favorite part about working here?
I started working at Periodontal Associates March of 2016. My favorite part is the relationships I build with patients and co-workers. Additionally, I really enjoy learning more about periodontics and the surgical procedures involved.

What’s your favorite part of being an assistant?
Helping the patients feel comfortable. I also love being part of a team. I really enjoy working with the doctors here by making sure they have the tools they need, which in turn assists in achieving a great outcome for our patients.

What doctor do you usually work with? What is your favorite part about working with them?
I mainly work with Dr. Beckman and I am starting to work more with Dr. Heller. I enjoy learning from them and listening to them explain the treatment to the patient. Dr. Beckman is serious but comforting to patients. On the other hand Dr Heller uses his great sense of humor to calm the patient.

What do you think makes Periodontal Associates stand out from other Periodontal offices?
I think there are a multitude of things that make Periodontal Associates stand out. To name a few: the patient care, communication internally as well as with the patients and their referring doctors, and the continuing education that the Drs. participate in as well as teach.
