Frank Spear Study club was started by Dr. Frank Spear. Dr. Spear co-founded Creating Restorative Excellence, a didactic and clinical education foundation. He became an affiliate professor in Graduate Prosthodontics at the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1984. Dr. Spear was part of twenty-five year interdisciplinary alliance with orthodontist Dr. Vincent Kokich and periodontist Dr. David Mathews. The three have traveled the world together lecturing on interdisciplinary dentistry. The Mission of Spear Education is to “strive for new ways to bring exceptional continuing education to dentists, through a comprehensive curriculum and a faculty who inspire doctors to grow beyond what they thought possible.”
Periodontal Associates – The Dental Implant Team leads a Frank Spear Study Club twice a month. This study club consists of local dentists in the Denver-Metro Area who meet up to collaborate and discuss real dental cases. Every Spear case encompasses different specialties of dentistry. The Periodontal Associates study club includes Denver area general dentists, endodontists, orthodontists, and periodontists.
Dental continuing education, like Frank Spear Study Club, ensures that Drs. Versman, Heller, and Beckman are informed about major changes in the dental and periodontal industry. The dental industry (specifically periodontics) can undergo major changes within a short period of time. Periodontists that do not participate in continuing education find it difficult to keep informed about the latest developments in the industry.
At Periodontal Associates – The Dental Implant Team we believe in partnering with our patients to achieve optimal health through personalized and collaborative care. Participating in continuing education like Frank Spear assists in serving our patients to the best of our ability. Frank Spear Study Club assists in offering our patients the latest diagnostic, preventive, and treatment methods in the industry.
